Initially in-office in Princeton with a path to a hybrid schedule, the candidate will work across tax and accounting scenarios, collaborating with a small team and growing professionally.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in tax and accounting within a public accounting or small firm environment.
• Strong foundation in tax preparation with the ability to analyze and interpret financials.
• Strong client communication skills, especially when explaining financial results.
• Proactive mindset with sound judgment and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business tax returns with minimal supervision.
• Review and evaluate financials prepared by bookkeepers and third parties.
• Use financial statements to help clients understand performance, cash flow, and outcomes.
• Proactively communicate with clients regarding financial results, tax implications, and planning considerations.
• Identify issues, trends, and red flags and raise them with clients clearly and professionally.
• Take ownership of client relationships in a small-firm environment.
• Review and provide guidance on work completed by junior staff.
• Assist with client onboarding and maintaining organized, accurate records.
• Utilize Canopy, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Teams.
