  • 3–5+ years of experience in tax controversy or corporate/ transactional law.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in practice area growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in federal and state tax audits, appeals, and litigation.
  • Draft legal memoranda, IRS correspondence, and Tax Court petitions.
  • Conduct legal research on tax codes, regulations, and case law.
  • Negotiate tax resolutions, including Offers in Compromise and penalty abatements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.
  • Advise on legal risks and business terms for corporate transactions.
  • Support M&A activities, including due diligence and deal structuring.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups for integrated solutions.
  • Develop the firm's client base through referrals and networking.

A law firm seeks a Senior Tax Attorney in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to engage in both tax controversy and transactional law. Duties
