Distinct | North America, a small CPA firm, is seeking a tax professional with a strong grounding in Trusts & Estates to build a career around it. You’ll work directly with clients, help plan and prepare returns, and discuss complex questions with Partners.
With four years of public accounting tax experience, you’ll become the go-to resource for trusts and estates while still handling S corporations, partnerships and individual tax.
If it’s the part of tax you’d like to do more of, this smaller CPA firm has room for you to build your career around it.
You’ll work directly with clients, get involved in planning as well as preparing and reviewing returns, and have Partners around you to talk through the more complicated questions.
You don’t need to know everything on day one. They’re looking for someone with a strong grounding in Trusts & Estates who wants to keep learning and take more ownership.
Over time, you could become the person clients and colleagues come to for advice in this area.
You’ll still work with closely held businesses and their owners too, keeping variety across S Corporations, Partnerships and individual tax.
They’ve been independent for 100 years, stayed local and built relationships that last. You’ll work closely with the Partners and get to know the clients behind the returns.
They also recognise that extra hours should give you something back. There’s paid overtime or additional time off, alongside profit sharing that’s been paid consistently for more than 20 years.
A few other things worth knowing:
If Partnership is something you want to work towards, there’s a route to explore here too.
You’ll need at least four years of public accounting tax experience, experience preparing and reviewing returns, and a strong understanding of Trusts & Estates taxation. Wider experience across business and individual tax matters too.
