Job summary

Elevate LLC, a growing professional services platform, seeks an experienced Tax Senior in New York to join a partner firm in Union Square. The role targets a tax professional with 3-5 years of public accounting experience, handling a diverse client base and a variety of tax returns.

You will assist with tax compliance, tax planning support, client communications, and year-round tax-related projects, in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 3-5 years of public accounting tax experience required
• Experience preparing individual and business tax returns preferred
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax compliance required
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and Excel required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and trusts (preferred) and individuals.
• Prepare tax workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Analyze financial statements and client records to ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Research tax issues and assist with notices and compliance matters.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and address tax questions.
• Assist with tax planning projects and special engagements.
• Maintain knowledge of tax laws and filing requirements.
• Meet deadlines during busy seasons through collaboration with team.
