Jobot is seeking a Tax Associate/Tax Preparer in Itasca, IL to join our public accounting team. You will prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, review documents, and assist senior staff on planning and compliance projects.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA or EA, has 2+ years of tax experience, and is proficient with Excel. We offer competitive compensation and a collaborative learning environment.

Formación

• CPA or EA credential and a bachelor's degree are preferred; 2+ years public accounting or tax experience is desirable; strong attention to detail and organization; proficiency with Excel and common accounting software.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and business clients.
• Support preparation of Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
• Gather and organize client financial and tax documentation.
• Review tax documents for accuracy before filing.
• Conduct basic tax research and resolve routine tax issues.
• Communicate with clients to collect missing information.
• Assist senior tax professionals on planning and compliance projects.
• Maintain organized client files and workpapers.
• Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Stay current on tax law changes and filing requirements.
• Support the broader accounting team beyond tax season.
