Job summary

Aprio is a Top 20 CPA and advisory firm actively seeking a Senior Tax Associate to deliver high-quality tax compliance, consulting, and planning services. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to develop effective tax strategies aligned with business goals and evolving regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will apply your technical expertise across complex tax engagements while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of federal tax consulting or compliance experience.
• Experience with Corporate, S-Corp, and/or Partnership returns.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in tax software and technology; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services.
• Oversee preparation and timely filing of all tax returns.
• Develop and implement tax strategies aligning with client goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services across diverse industries
• Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all required tax returns
• Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize clients' tax positions while considering business goals, industry trends, and regulatory changes
• Collaborate with clients and provide proactive tax advice and solutions
• Collaborate with fellow tax professionals by sharing expertise and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and development
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service
• Actively participate in project coordination and contribute to training initiatives that strengthen the tax department's overall effectiveness

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in federal tax consulting and/or compliance in public accounting
• Experience with Corporate, S-Corp, and/or Partnership returns
• Recent work experience with an accounting firm
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in tax software and technology
• Preferred: CPA or actively pursuing CPA licensure

The salary range for this opportunity is stated above. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.
