Job summary

Ascendo Resources in Miami is seeking a Senior Tax Associate or Tax Manager to support a growing tax practice on a hybrid schedule. You will prepare and review returns across partnerships, corporations and individuals, with direct client interaction and a growing leadership role.

The role requires 3+ years in public accounting; Senior level CPA eligibility, Manager level CPA licensure with 5+ years and leadership experience. A strong pathway for growth is offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax experience in public accounting.
• Senior level: CPA eligible to sit; Manager level: CPA licensed with 5+ years and 1+ year of management.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.

Senior Tax Associate or Tax Manager | Miami | Hybrid

$90,000 - $160,000 depending on level and experience

A well-established public accounting firm is expanding its South Florida (Brickell) tax practice and hiring at both the Senior and Manager level.

If you want the client quality and technical work of a larger firm without being one of hundreds, this is worth a look. The team is small enough that your work is visible and the partners know you by name, with the resources and client base of a national platform behind it.

• Tax Manager - $125,000 to $160,000

What you would be working on

• Preparation and review of tax returns across entity types
• Partnership, corporate, and individual compliance
• Technical tax research and written positions
• Direct client communication and relationship management
• Managing workload and deadlines through compliance season and extensions

At the Senior level you are preparing and reviewing, and building client relationships. At the Manager level you are owning the review, managing the engagement and the client, and developing the staff underneath you.

What you need

• 3+ years of tax experience in public accounting
• CPA licensed, or eligible to sit, for the Senior level
• CPA licensed for the Manager level, plus 5+ years of experience and at least 1 year of management experience

What helps but is not required

• Partnership tax experience, 1065s and K-1s
• Real estate or fund client experience
• MST (Master of Science in Taxation)
• GoSystem Tax RS, CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx, BNA, or RIA Checkpoint
• Bilingual English and Spanish
