Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• CPA license preferred but not required.
• Willingness to pursue a Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting.
• Minimum of 3 years’ domestic tax experience at a public accounting firm.
• Ability to lead and train interns and staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of tax returns for individuals, C-Corp, S-Corp, partnerships, trusts, estates.
• Demonstrate advanced tax technical aptitude and handle complex returns and projects.
• Apply analytical and decision-making skills to solve complex tax issues.
• Review work of junior staff and provide mentorship to develop technical skills.
• Build strong client relationships and ensure client needs are met.
• Maintain timely communication with team and clients to manage deadlines.
• Train new employees on firm technology, processes and procedures.
• Present ideas for process improvements to achieve firm goals.
• Participate in practice development to build referral networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of various tax returns including individuals, C-Corp, S-Corp, partnerships, trust, estate, etc. for clients in a variety of industries
• Demonstrate advanced technical aptitude of taxation and can handle complex returns and projects with confidence
• Utilize analytical and decision-making skills to solve complex technical issues
• Review the work of less experienced associates and provide guidance/mentorship to assist them in developing technical skills
• Build strong client relationships and ensure client needs are being met
• Maintain timely and accurate communication with team and clients to manage expectations, deadlines, and deliverables
• Ability to train new employees on firm technology, processes and procedures
• Present new ideas and improvements for ways of performing tasks in order to achieve firm and departmental goals
• Seek opportunities to participate in practice development to build network of referral sources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA License preferred but not required
• Willingness to pursue Master’s Degree in Taxation or Master’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in domestic tax at public accounting firm
• Ability to manage people with differing personalities to meet the needs of the firm and clients
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to train interns and associates
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, but also in a team environment
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms
• Ability to manage multiple projects/clients and deadlines
• CCH Axcess software experience a plus
