Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to assist the Tax Director with the preparation of the company’s US federal income tax returns. The role is based in Phoenix, near Sky Harbor, and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The candidate will compile data for consolidated US federal corporate tax returns, perform tax research, support tax technology, and help maintain tax systems and SOX controls. Strong knowledge of CorpTax, BNA, RIA, and SAP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4 years of Tax or Accounting experience, or 2 years as an Accountant at a Big 4 firm.
• Experience with US income tax rules, especially corporate consolidations.
• Proficient with Adobe and Microsoft tools (SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
• Familiar with tax and accounting research tools such as BNA, RIA, CCH.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated US federal corporate income tax return filings using CorpTax-based applications.
• Support tax department with tax research, technology and process design.
• Maintain and support tax department applications and databases.
• Implement SOX controls related to US tax return preparation.
• Assist with reconciliation of tax returns to financial statements.
• Support IRS audit documentation requirements.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job description

Our client is adding a Senior Tax Analyst to their staff. The Senior Tax Analyst will primarily be responsible for assisting Tax Director with preparation of the Company’s US federal income tax returns. This role located in Phoenix close to Sky Harbor Airport. This role has a salary range of $85K to $115K DOE and a hybrid work schedule.

• Compile data for and prepare Company’s consolidated US federal corporate income tax return using CorpTax based applications. Includes preparation of additional US federal income tax returns for entities not included in consolidated filing.
• Assist members of the corporate tax department with tax technical research, tax technology and process design.
• Assist with maintenance and support of tax department applications and databases.
• Implement department SOX controls related to US tax return preparation process.
• Assist department personnel with reconciliation of US federal income tax returns to amounts reported on Company’s publicly filed financial statements.
• Support Internal Revenue Service audit documentation requirements.
• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, and four (4) years of experience in Tax and/or Accounting; OR
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and two (2) years of experience as an Accountant for a Big 4 public accounting firm.
• Experience with U.S. income tax rules and regulations, including emphasis in the area of corporate consolidations
• Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Tools (SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams & Outlook).
• Proficient in use of BNA, RIA, CCH and other tax and accounting research tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Accounting or Tax
• CPA designation highly preferred
• Experience with SAP, OneStream, Corptax, Alteryx, Business Objects, Microsoft Power Query and Power BI applications.
