Driven Tax Strategies, a Wichita-based tax planning and preparation firm, seeks a Senior Tax Accountant who blends technical tax expertise with client advisory skills. You will partner with owners and individuals, handle complex returns, and develop proactive planning strategies.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and shaping the firm’s ongoing growth, with opportunities to expand advisory services beyond compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 5–8+ years of progressive tax experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax law.
• Experience researching technical tax issues.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines during tax season.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience with Thomson Reuters or CCH tax software, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and advanced Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and review complex tax returns with accuracy and judgment.
• Advise clients on tax planning opportunities and risk.
• Manage complex engagements from information gathering to filing.
• Mentor staff accountants and review technical work.
• Contribute to the growth and quality of the tax practice.
