Job summary

Moneco Advisors is seeking a Senior Tax Associate in Madison, CT, to join its integrated tax advisory and wealth management practice. The role blends tax compliance with holistic financial planning, serving clients across federal and state returns and planning initiatives.

You'll work closely with wealth advisors and planners, handling preparation and review of diverse tax returns, communicating with clients, and contributing to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• CPA or EA designation highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns.
• Tax planning and wealth management coordination experience.
• Experience in client-facing roles with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• RIA industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency with tax software including Lacerte, TaxDome, and SurePrep; Microsoft Office Suite; QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Supervisory experience a plus, with a desire to grow into a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Tax Preparation & Compliance: Prepare and review individual, fiduciary, exempt, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with federal and state tax laws.
• Tax Planning & Strategy: Develop tax and financial strategies and implement them in coordination with the wealth management team.
• Client Communication & Service: Communicate directly with clients and staff to ensure timely, accurate delivery of financial statements and tax documents.
• Professional Development & Team Contribution: Maintain a strong commitment to continuing education and professional growth; contribute to a collaborative team environment with leadership growth ambitions.
