H&R Block’s Block Advisors is seeking a year-round Tax Advisor to help clients navigate complex tax and business services with confidence. You’ll prepare accurate returns, uncover savings opportunities, and build lasting client relationships using our training and technology.

This in-person role emphasizes client interviews, personalized recommendations, IRS support, and collaboration within a results-driven team.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation or related fields
• Experience with complex individual and business returns, including tax planning and audit support
• Experience in a client-facing, advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a client-focused office environment
