The role emphasizes advanced accounting and tax work, client planning ideas, and leadership of staff accountants under supervision. CPA licensure is preferred, with AICPA membership a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in public accounting.
• Forty hours of continuing professional education required each year.
• CPA license or in progress toward licensure.

Responsibilities

• Performs diversified accounting and tax assignments under supervision.
• Demonstrates competency in technical skills and firm standards.
• Directs and instructs assistants and reviews working papers.
• Prepares and indexes working papers and tax returns, including complex returns.
• Suggests client tax planning ideas to supervisor or Partner.
• Prepares routine client correspondence for Partner approval.
