Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is partnering with a Novi CPA firm to find a Sr. Tax Advisor focused on individual tax. This role is located in Ann Arbor, MI with either full-time or seasonal engagement, offering $75K–$100K annually or $40–$70/hour for seasonal work.

You will review Form 1040 returns, handle investments, K-1s, multi-state issues, provide client guidance, and collaborate with the team using CCH Axcess.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of public accounting experience focusing on individual taxation.
• Proven experience reviewing Form 1040 returns, not just preparing them.
• Experience with investments, K-1s, multi-state returns, and pass-through taxation.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review individual income tax returns, primarily Form 1040, including complex filings.
• Review returns involving investments, K-1s, pass-through entities, multi-state taxation.
• Identify errors, risks, and opportunities for tax savings.
• Provide feedback to preparers and improve return quality.
• Work directly with clients to explain tax positions clearly.
• Participate in individual tax planning and advisory discussions.
• Manage workflow and meet deadlines during tax season.
• Utilize CCH Axcess and other tax software to work efficiently.
