This full-time, exempt role offers hybrid work near our Walnut Creek office, a base salary of $115,000–$135,000, generous benefits, and opportunities to contribute to tax planning with our advisory team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in individual and business tax preparation.
• Experience with multi-state tax filings.
• Proficiency in income tax planning and compliance.
• Strong Excel and software skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns.
• Determine federal, state and local filing requirements.
• Respond to IRS, state, and local notices.
• Participate in tax strategy discussions with clients and advisors.
• Address client tax questions and issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients, advisors, authorities, staff, and management.
• Review staff work and provide training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
