Job summary

O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT seeks a Corporate and Trust Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This newly created role supports tax compliance and reporting for trusts, C corporations, S corporations and partnerships.

The candidate will coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure accurate filings in a deadline-driven environment, with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional tax experience.
• Experience with trust and estate returns.
• Experience with C Corporations, S Corporations & Partnerships tax returns a plus.
• Bachelor's or master's in accounting or taxation or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare trust tax returns.
• Prepare C Corporation, S Corporation, and Partnership tax returns.
• Ensure filings are accurate and compliant with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Calculate and prepare federal and state quarterly estimated tax payments for trusts and corporate entities.
• Research tax issues and interpret tax laws to support ongoing compliance.
• Respond to tax-related correspondence and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Maintain the company's tax database and records to ensure accurate, organized documentation.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, legal, shareholders, family members, and external advisors to meet deadlines.
