Job summary

Wipfli LLP is seeking an experienced Tax Professional to lead and coordinate tax compliance and advisory work for diverse clients in a hybrid work model. The role targets individuals with 3+ years of tax experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and CPA preferred, with opportunities for CPA candidates.

You will review individual, trust, gift, and estate tax returns, lead client relationships, and mentor staff, while engaging in business development and ongoing professional education through CPE

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• CPA certification preferred; CPA candidates will be considered.
• 3+ years of tax-related experience.
• Experience with fiduciary/trust returns is a plus.
• Experience mentoring staff and making recommendations to management.
• Public accounting experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate tax compliance and advisory work for clients
• Review Individual, Trust, Gift and Estate tax returns
• Lead client relationships on day to day tax matters supporting partners with service execution and development of extended services
• Research and consult on technical matters and special projects
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client and their advisors to provide superior client service
• Actively participate in business development efforts with partners and marketing professionals to target and build relationships with client prospects
• Assist, train and develop staff. Participate in the performance review process
• Attain thorough technical competency and industry-specific expertise through CPE and events
• Review tax-related information including tax provisions, depreciation schedules, etc.
• Lead multi-disciplined client service teams for account planning
• Prepare and review client correspondence
• Actively participate in firm events for industry-specific and regional clients and prospects
