Current is seeking a Senior Accountant in Traditional Tax to manage complex engagements for high‑wealth owners across industries. You will oversee federal, state, and local returns, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide strategic planning while participating in client meetings.
You will supervise staff, mentor juniors, and deliver high‑quality tax solutions. A CPA and 5+ years of public accounting tax experience are preferred; strong knowledge of tax law is required.

The Senior Accountant in Traditional Tax is responsible for managing complex tax engagements for high‑wealth business owners across a variety of industries. This role oversees the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensures compliance with regulations, and provides strategic tax planning support. This position participates directly in client meetings to present and deliver completed returns. It strengthens client relationships, ensures high‑quality deliverables, and contributes to the overall success of the Traditional Tax department.
This position may supervise staff accountants and interns within the Traditional Tax department. The candidate will report to Traditional Tax Managers or a Partner of the firm.
This is a full‑time, salaried exempt position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works normal office hours, with guilt‑free flexibility. Some weeks over 40 hours will be required.
Based in Springfield, MO, or Fayetteville, AR.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree and CPA certification preferred. Minimum of five years of public accounting tax experience, with at least one year in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of tax law and compliance standards required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience with UltraTax, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and AdvanceFlow preferred. Must pass a CJIS background check.
