About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Tax Accountant on behalf of our client, a well-established public accounting and consulting firm in the Boston area. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to grow in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with exposure to a wide variety of complex tax matters. The role offers a hybrid schedule, combining in-office collaboration with flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
• Assist with annual and quarterly tax projections and related financial analyses
• Support senior team members in tax planning, strategy development, and research projects
• Analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with tax laws and reporting standards
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to enhance client profitability
• Respond to client inquiries and assist with audits conducted by tax authorities
• Provide proactive tax planning advice to help clients reduce liabilities while remaining compliant
• Contribute to the development and implementation of internal tax policies and strategic initiatives
• Stay current with changes in federal, state, and local tax legislation.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience in public accounting or related tax roles
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations and accounting principles
• Proficiency with tax preparation and accounting software
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting
• CPA or working toward CPA designation preferred
