Job summary

Kranze Technology Solutions, Inc. is seeking a senior systems engineer to develop requirements, design algorithms, and integrate KTS products with a focus on tactical networking. A strong networking background and hands-on experience with Linux are required.

The role is full-time at the Des Plaines, IL facility and involves travel and potential security clearance. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in systems engineering, expertise in networking protocols, and proficiency in C/C++ or scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Experience with networking and routing protocols.
• Linux OS and networking stack experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on hardware/software troubleshooting.
• C/C++ or scripting language programming.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to obtain US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements and algorithms for tactical networking systems.
• Model and simulate networking algorithms and virtual routing tools.
• Create test procedures and automated tools to evaluate performance.
• Evaluate new tactical radios and optimize integration with KTS products.
• Prototype and integrate new radios and communication systems.
• Assist with system integration, verification, and validation.
• Support demonstrations and testing with customers and Warfighters.
