Job summary

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, or Podman
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Compute certification (e.g., Certified Java Programmer, Certified Python Developer, or similar geospatial certifications)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and optimize for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
• Ensure adherence to security protocols in a classified environment.

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Systems Software Engineer to support our client in Augusta, GA. The ideal candidate will have deep experience developing mission‑critical geospatial intelligence software and strong skills in data analysis, visualization, and modern software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software for geospatial intelligence systems
• Build scalable, efficient code in Java, Python, or similar languages

• Experience with the GEOINT community
• Knowledge of spatial data formats (GeoJSON, Shapefiles, KML) and spatial analysis
• Experience with GIS programming, geospatial data pipelines, or remote sensing
• Knowledge of mission and military operational environments
• Experience with DISA STIG validation, Ansible/Puppet/Chef/Salt, OpenSCAP
• Familiarity with Splunk, Elastic, SNMP monitoring, and incident response
• Relevant technical or geospatial certifications

Security Clearance

• Active TS/SCI clearance
