Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Senior Systems Project Engineer for a 12-month contract, working remotely from the US. This senior role oversees end-to-end integration on a high-complexity defense/space program, interfacing with customers and leadership across IPTs and suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have a STEM degree and 10+ years of project engineering, DoD acquisition exposure, and a proven record of full lifecycle program leadership from concept to delivery. U.S.

Qualifications

• STEM degree required; 10+ years project engineering or 8+ with a master's.
• Full lifecycle program leadership from concept to delivery.
• Aerospace/defense experience with DoD familiarity.
• Knowledge of DoD acquisition frameworks and contract structures.
• Strong systems-level judgment and ownership mindset.
• US citizenship with an active DoD Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain).
• ITAR-compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution and integration across complex, multi-disciplinary programs.
• Own customer, leadership and stakeholder technical interface.
• Direct IPTs and the IMP/IMS.
• Oversee subcontractors — flow-down, performance and interface management.
• Author and approve key artifacts — SOWs, ICDs, ECNs, test plans.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, CDRLs and standards.
• Support proposals — technical volume leadership and BOE.
