Job summary

RE Mason Company, a 100% employee-owned firm in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Senior Systems and Network Administrator to design, secure, and support our infrastructure across servers, cloud, networks, and security platforms. The role emphasizes architecture plus hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, and coordination with control systems specialists.

The ideal candidate will manage AD/Azure/M365, virtualization, backups, and compliant security controls within NIST/ISO frameworks, while supporting

Qualifications

• Five or more years in systems/networks/infrastructure engineering.
• Strong experience with AD, Azure, M365, Windows Server and desktops.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls.
• Experience documenting and supporting system and network solutions.
• Familiarity with virtualization, backup/recovery, and shared-storage tech.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and support server, cloud, virtualization, storage, backup, network, and security infrastructure.
• Develop architectures balancing security, reliability, scalability, cost, and supportability.
• Configure routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and secure remote access.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot complex system, network, and connectivity issues.
• Plan upgrades, patches, migrations, and technology refreshes.
• Support access controls, logging, incident response, and audit readiness.
• Support customer control systems and industrial software environments securely.
• Design secure network tunnels and remote connectivity for customer sites.
• Maintain diagrams, standards, inventories, change records, and recovery docs.
• Collaborate across security, applications, data, OT, and business teams.
