Senior Systems Integration Engineer

As a Senior Systems Integration Engineer you will design, implement, and maintain solutions that integrate various software applications and services, ensuring they communicate and work together seamlessly. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end processes of integrating different systems and platforms, analyzing requirements from various stakeholders, designing integration frameworks, and implementing relevant solutions.

Primary Duties

• Design, implement, or modify systems integration solutions that adhere to standards and meet business requirements.
• Create and execute test plans for system integrations and facilitate deployments into production.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and team members (analysts, other engineers/developers) to understand needs and ensure integrations meet requirements.
• Document integration processes, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small group user training.
• Lead or support project teams, coordinating resources, milestone schedules, and communication to deliver scope of work.
• Estimate integration implementation efforts (blueprinting, configuration, development, testing, deployment).
• Assist team members and customers in resolving issues during execution, providing ongoing support to maintain system functionality.
• Monitor and optimize integration performance to ensure efficient operation.
• Implement security measures to protect integrated systems from vulnerabilities and threats.
• Participate in disaster recovery initiatives and change‑management processes.
• Assist in developing and refining standards, procedures, methods, and processes.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve solutions.
• Provide 24‑hour on‑call support, including evenings and weekends.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or equivalent, with 3‑5 years of experience in systems integration.
• Minimum 3 years designing/implementing secure, scalable, and resilient integrations with MuleSoft Anypoint, Azure Integration Services (API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, etc.) and related standards.
• Strong understanding of integration technologies, patterns, and best practices in complex technology ecosystems.
• Experience designing, implementing and supporting integrations across a broad range of enterprise systems; EDI‑focused integrations a plus.
• Administration experience with integration platforms/tools, resource utilization assessment and optimization.
• Unit/integration testing and debugging skills using platform or standalone API tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
• Experience with source control, DevOps principles, and release patterns.
• Monitoring experience with tools like DataDog or Splunk.
• Detail‑oriented documentation of integration flows for supportability.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills in tight deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
