Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to lead a team of 10-15 engineers onsite, ensuring engineering integrity for contract systems and equipment. You will mentor staff, manage performance reviews, salary planning, training, and program execution while aligning with cost, schedule, and performance objectives.

The role requires a SECRET clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a STEM degree with substantial experience in systems engineering and program management.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering and project engineering management.
• Experience developing and operating with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
• Experience leading teams (Team Lead, IPTL, CPTL, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Program Engineer, Section Manager).
• Active and transferable SECRET clearance is required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Full-Lifecycle Systems engineering experience with Communication systems; familiarity with the Systems Engineering V model and SDLC.
• Develop the team through career discussions and training; approve timecards and expense statements.
• Involvement in new business initiatives such as proposal cost volumes, technical volumes, or management volumes;BOE and resource planning for future contracts.
• Liaison with department leaders to ensure systems/sub-systems are monitored and supported; define changes to meet user requirements.
• Proposal support, coordinating staffing needs and interviewing applicants.
• Understand requirements flow-down, design, development and testing of systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering professionals.
