Job summary

Infinity is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to support the GRIF FON Ground Integration & Framework and SoSI contracts. You will engage with diverse teams to define interfaces, manage system requirements, and drive MBSE-based design and verification activities.

The role requires 5+ years in systems engineering, MILSATCOM experience, and the ability to work within SCIF environments. A Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering qualifies you for a challenging, mission-focused career.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems engineering experience with DoD-style programs and system-of-systems concepts.
• MILSATCOM experience including Milstar and AEHF is preferred.
• Experience with Agile development environments (Scrum/Kanban) and MBSE is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define system interfaces with ICDs and align on design impact.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary Agile teams to derive requirements and integration solutions.
• Decompose requirements from ESS architecture to element specifications with DOORS and system traceability.
• Develop and deliver GRIFFON engineering artifacts for NC3 mission, protected SATCOM and AEHF usage.
• Identify system-level trades to shape ESS top-level architecture.
• Plan and conduct test, analysis, and integration campaigns for interfaces.
• Assess cost/schedule/performance impacts of changes to the baseline.
• Coordinate system requirements verification and sell-off plans.
• Apply Digital Engineering concepts and MBSE tools in daily work.

Position Overview

Provide engineering support for the ESS Ground Resilient Integration & Framework for Operational NC3 (GRIFFON) Ground Integration & Framework (GIF) and Systems of Systems Integration (SoSI) contract. During the period of performance, assist team in demonstrating key capabilities and showing progress towards meeting Ground Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T).

Primary Responsibilities

• Works with ICDs across stakeholders for interface definition and agreement on implementation and impact to system design.
• Familiarity with Agile development environments and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary Agile teams to define system requirements, design, and integration solutions.
• Requirements decomposition from the ESS overall system design into element and component specifications with both upward and downward tracing in DOORS and horizontal tracing with the System model.
• Provide system engineering support with NC3 mission, International Partner, protected SATCOM, XDR waveform, and/or AEHF User terminal experience to create, update, deliver GRIFFON engineering artifacts.
• Identify and analyze key system-level trades across all segments to define ESS top level architecture.
• Identify, plan, and implement test, analysis, and integration campaigns to verify internal and external interfaces.
• Identify and define impact assessments, to include cost, schedule, and performance, for all changes to the technical baseline.
• Develop and coordinate a system requirements verification and sell-off plan.
• Work with Digital Engineering concepts and tools (such as Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)).

Experience Requirement

5+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on digital engineering and risk reduction activities. Experience with NC3 mission, International Partner, protected SATCOM, XDR waveform, and/or AEHF User terminal.

Clearance Requirement: Secret

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of experience in lieu of degree

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience including experience with System of Systems concepts and architectures as well as experience with verification and validation principles, approaches, processes, and procedures.
• MILSATCOM experience, to include Milstar and AEHF.
• Experience with Systems Engineering in an Agile Development (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) environment.
• Experience with toolsets such as Cameo Systems Modeler and DOORS.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with an ability to collaborate positively in a team environment with people of different levels of experience and education and virtually in geographically dispersed locations.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment that requires work in a SCIF.
