Job summary

MPower Plus is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with hands-on VMware virtualization, data center operations, Windows Server, Linux, storage, and networking expertise.

You will manage VMware infrastructure, back-ups, security, and lifecycle while ensuring compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI DSS in healthcare/payments environments. This is a remote role serving the USA with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• VMware vSphere/vCenter expertise required.
• Windows Server (AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP) experience.
• Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), scripting.
• Compliance knowledge (SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI DSS) demonstrated.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with strong hands-on experience in VMware virtualization, enterprise data centers, Windows Server, Linux, storage, and networking.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and remediate VMware infrastructure, including patching, firmware updates, security hardening, and lifecycle management.
• Provision and manage VMs, compute, storage, and network resources.
• Administer Windows Server (AD, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP) and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu).
• Manage backups, recovery testing, monitoring, and infrastructure security.
• Follow change management processes, maintain runbooks, and prepare audit documentation.
• Support data center integration and migration activities.

Required Skills

• VMware: vSphere, vCenter, DRS, HA, vMotion, Lifecycle Manager (Mandatory).
• Windows Server: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, patching.
• Linux: RHEL/Ubuntu, systemd, shell scripting.
• Process & Compliance: Change management, rollback planning, SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI DSS.

Experience

• 8+ years of enterprise systems administration / data center experience.
• 3+ years in regulated healthcare, healthcare payments, or financial services.

Preferred Skills

• PowerShell or Ansible automation.
• VMware VCP, Microsoft, or Red Hat certifications.
• Data center integration, consolidation, or migration experience.

Note: Hands-on VMware vSphere/vCenter experience is mandatory. Cloud-only virtualization profiles will not be considered.
