Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, deliver, and sustain mission-critical IT systems supporting high-visibility programs. You will lead systems engineering across the full SDLC, acting as a trusted technical authority with minimal supervision.

Candidate must hold an active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance and bring deep expertise in system architecture, integration, and lifecycle management to ensure secure, scalable solutions for government and commercial clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of systems engineering experience or an approved substitution.
• Active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance is required.
• IAT Level II certification (or ability to meet requirements).
• Proven experience delivering complex systems in enterprise or mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, integration, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level systems engineering support across all phases of the SDLC.
• Architect and implement complex IT systems and infrastructure to meet objectives.
• Ensure system performance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance throughout the lifecycle.
• Serve as a technical lead on high-visibility programs with minimal supervision.
• Review and validate system designs and implementation plans.
• Mentor and oversee junior engineers on tasks or projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with needs.
