Visual Soft, Inc is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a federal project requiring US citizenship and a Top Secret clearance. The role is Winchester, VA with remote (2 days) / onsite (3 days) work arrangement and an onsite-only note for the contract.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience and be prepared to handle complex network and system tasks across hardware, OS, virtualization, and data networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience.
• US citizens with active TOP SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and perform additions and changes to network hardware and OS, including installation and testing of new hardware/software.
• Provide direct day-to-day support for network hardware and operating systems, including evaluation of system utilization and response times.
• Troubleshoot at the physical level of the network and test hardware with protocols.
• Plan, design and implement new network infrastructure for voice and data networks.
• Perform systems management and integration with virtualization and network administration.
• Maintain network standards including TCP/IP and provide IT staff with technical guidance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems.
• Ensure storage/backup components are up-to-date and compliant; implement patches and guidance documents.
