Job summary

Serco Inc. in Washington, DC, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the U.S. Navy’s Next Generation Attack Submarine program. You will join a dynamic team providing technical and programmatic support to the PMS351 office at the Washington Navy Yard.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, a technical bachelor's degree, and experience with Navy submarine systems, systems engineering, and collaboration across a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • 6 years of combined experience in Navy submarine systems design, testing, or operations
  • Strong systems engineering foundation
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools and collaboration platforms
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • Assist in design, management and optimization of complex U.S. Submarine systems.
  • Lead and collaborate with a technical team on day-to-day efforts.
  • Support systems design and requirements management.
  • Translate platform requirements into ship specifications and decompositions.
  • Contribute to cost estimation and budget analysis; support T&E planning.
  • Engage in cybersecurity assessments and engineering initiatives.
  • Build and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Coordinate system integration and interoperability tasks.
  • Perform risk management and reliability analysis.
  • Communicate and report to stakeholders.
