Job summary

Peraton seeks a Lead Systems Engineer / Systems Engineer to guide engineering, integration, and digital engineering for NORAD/NCMC-ITW/AA and NISSC III in a Cheyenne Mountain Complex environment.

The role requires senior leadership across software, cybersecurity, and operations with DoD program experience, MBSE usage, and strong collaboration with government stakeholders to improve mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required with ability to obtain and maintain access.
• 8+ years leading complex engineering projects with schedules, staffing, and budgets.
• Experience developing project requirements with PMOs and TPOCs including CDRLs.
• Familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and MBSE tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior engineering authority and primary technical POC.
• Lead planning, design, execution, and evaluation of complex projects.
• Develop end-to-end technical solutions meeting mission requirements.
• Define scope, schedules, staffing plans, performance metrics, and CDRLs with PMO/TPOCs.
• Monitor performance, schedules, staffing, and budgets across multiple efforts.
• Present findings and risk assessments to senior leadership and customers.
• Produce technical reports, briefings, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate across government and contractor teams to resolve challenges.
• Provide mentorship and foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
• Identify and mitigate program risks.
