Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer/SME in El Segundo, CA. The role focuses on modeling, analysis, and MBSE to support Space and Intelligence Division projects for US Space Force and other agencies.

Responsibilities include requirements development, trade studies, and cross-disciplinary coordination. U.S. citizenship with an active clearance is required. On-site work location in El Segundo is expected.

Qualifications

US Citizenship with active Secret or TS/SCI clearance as required by program.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
10+ years of systems engineering experience.
Proficiency with modeling and simulation environments (e.g., MATLAB, STK, Python, SysML tools).
Ability to develop requirements, conduct analyses, and support system integration.
Strong communication and collaboration across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Create and execute modeling, simulation, and analysis to evaluate system performance.
Develop system and subsystem requirements, interfaces, and specs.
Conduct engineering trade studies to inform design decisions.
Support system architecture development and MBSE products.
Prepare detailed technical documentation and briefings.
