Job summary

Astra Space Operations, LLC. is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to oversee development, integration, and testing of the launch system, focusing on requirements management and design reviews to ensure full qualification for use.

You will supervise qualification activities for RCC-324-11 tracking components and coordinate with FAA and launch ranges. The role blends systems engineering with hands-on hardware testing and product management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Direct experience managing a strict qualification test program.
• Experience with CAD and PLM software tools, especially large, shared assemblies.
• Owns projects from start to finish with minimal oversight.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, self-driven startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and adapt Astra's Development Process to ensure a quality product meeting requirements.
• Manage Astra's Requirements System and component relationships.
• Create procedures for subcomponent build and testing.
• Collaborate with test engineers to plan integrated stage testing for Rocket 4.
• Ensure design reviews through qualification with responsible engineers and technicians.
