Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer (Signals Processing) in Sacramento, CA. The role focuses on developing transformative signal processing solutions for SIGINT and requires a strong foundation in DSP, RF concepts, and systems engineering.

You will work with cutting-edge SDRs, GPUs, and SDI tools, collaborating across teams to deliver secure, capable systems for national security objectives.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM with 2+ years of relevant experience or MS in STEM.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret with SCI clearance.
• Ability to translate operational needs into technical system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform architecture trades, design analysis, and performance modeling.
• Provide engineering support for hardware development efforts.
• Design detection and characterization algorithms for RF signals.
• Implement detection and characterization algorithms.
• Test signal processing algorithms and receivers in a lab environment.
• Design, test, and produce detection, characterization, and geolocation algorithms.
• Support deployment of core products on new platforms (manned aircraft, drones, ships).
