Blacksmith in New York City is building a high-performance, self-hosted CI platform. We’re hiring a distributed-systems engineer who thrives on performance and reliability across the filesystem, network, and storage stack.

You will work in person five days a week in NYC, contributing with C, C++, Go, Rust, or Zig, and help scale our bare-metal infrastructure via Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Ceph/MinIO.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience, ideally in distributed environments.
• Experience with performance and reliability across filesystem, network, and storage stack.
• Willingness to work in NYC in-person 5 days a week.
