Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for its Global Resource Management team. You will tackle deep architectural challenges, designing scalable, highly available services that power Cloudflare’s platform.

This role emphasizes reducing fanout, simplifying dependencies, and delivering reliable software. You'll collaborate across engineering teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to platform-level solutions that scale to millions of users and customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, building and operating mission-critical, high-scale distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) or a similar modern systems language.
• Proven experience in designing, building, and operating scalable, highly available services at cloud-scale.
• Understanding of organization, dependency management, and resource orchestration in a multi-tenant environment.
• Experience participating in code reviews and providing thoughtful feedback to designs.

Responsibilities

• Solve deep, foundational problems across Cloudflare products by creating organized, efficient, and well-managed applications.
• Architect for organization and clarity to reduce fanout and simplify dependencies across teams.
• Build scalable systems by proposing architectures, writing specs, and delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
• Drive code quality through thorough reviews and adherence to reliability and security best practices.
