Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Sr Systems Engineer within Neuromodulation to lead development of new neuromodulation products from feasibility to market release. You will be a technical leader in a matrix engineering organization, translating customer needs into system requirements and design specs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 4 years' relevant experience or a Master's with 2 years, plus strong systems engineering and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience or a Master's with 2 years or a PhD with 0 years (perMust Have).
• Experience developing system definition, design and requirements, and traceability.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC medical device regulations and FDA 21 CFR 820.30 helpful.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze design inputs and convert them into high quality engineering requirements.
• Perform system architecture and design for all phases from concept to disposal.
• Translate requirements into hardware and software specifications with cost/schedule constraints.
• Lead system analysis, interface management, and risk assessment activities.
• Develop digital platform solutions and data architectures for system integration.
• Guide cross functional teams, ensure test strategies, and review results.
• Verify and validate system requirements through tests and demonstrations.
• Support regulatory submissions and knowledge transfer to continuation teams.
• Travel up to 10% for conferences and product launches.
