Job summary
Ardent is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership in the design, implementation, integration, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems. This role will translate business and mission requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
The ideal candidate will have deep systems engineering expertise, experience with geospatial environments, and knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 15+ years of systems engineering/architecture experience.
- Experience with geospatial environments and government/defense systems.
- Familiar with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF/DoDAF and cloud-based designs.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, integration, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems.
- Translate mission requirements into scalable, secure architectures.
- Create system diagrams, interface specs, and traceability matrices.
- Apply systems engineering principles across the lifecycle.
- Ensure alignment with security policies and enterprise standards.
- Mentor engineering teams and promote SAFe/Agile practices.
