Job summary

Momentum Engineering, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator to deliver IT systems support for daily operations and ensure system availability.

The ideal candidate will manage Linux and Windows environments, create and manage virtual machines, and coordinate patching to maintain STE/STN compliance with the ISSO. Responsibilities include supporting client/server/storage devices, assisting users, and communicating status to management.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph.
• Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science or related discipline.
• Seven (7) years experience as a SA in programs of similar scope, type and complexity; four (4) years may substitute for a degree; Master's may substitute for two years.
• Must have background supporting both Linux and Windows OS.
• Experience with software installation and configuration.
• Understanding of applying patches to systems and maintaining STE/STN compliance on SSPs.
• Security+ Certification (SEC+).

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Linux and Windows-based IT systems and networks.
• Create, support, and manage virtual machines.
• Manage IAVA patches and ensure SSP compliance with ISSO coordination.
• Install and configure software environments and tools.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provide escalation communication to agency management and internal customers.
• Perform capacity planning and optimize resource utilization.
• Handle Data Transfer Agent (DTA) duties for cross-domain transfers.
