Job summary

CACI is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with an ISSO focus to ensure security and reliability of mission-critical systems. You will guide programs from concept through retirement, partnering with stakeholders and leadership to influence secure system design and authorization activities.

Responsibilities include acting as security coordinator, supporting cloud modernization, and ensuring rigorous lifecycle deliverables while communicating with sponsors and executives.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
• Two decades of Systems Engineering experience on comparable programs.
• Ability to plan, lead, and execute SE activities across lifecycles.
• Degree in a related technical field; advanced substitution allowed.

• Act as security coordinator for products including SSP reauthorization and 508 compliance.
• Support cloud migration and integration with A+3 cloud architecture team.
• Ensure ISO/IEC 15288 process areas are addressed and deliverables are complete.

The Opportunity:

Join CACI as a Systems Engineer with an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) focus, where you will play a key role in ensuring the security, integrity, and reliability of mission‑critical systems. You will apply systems engineering principles across the full system lifecycle—from concept through retirement—while partnering closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and senior leadership. This role offers the chance to directly influence secure system design, support cloud modernization efforts, and guide programs through key security authorization activities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams.

• Act as the security coordinator for all assigned products, including STE/STN activities, SSP reauthorization, and accessibility (508) compliance.

• Collaborate with the A+3 cloud architecture team to support cloud migration and integration efforts.

• Provide systems engineering expertise across all ISO/IEC 15288 process areas and maintain accountability for the technical quality, integrity, and completeness of associated deliverables.

• Communicate effectively with sponsors, overseers, and senior executives to address engineering considerations and resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

• 20+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.

• Proven ability to plan, lead, and execute systems engineering efforts.

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related field.

  • May substitute 5 additional years of systems engineering experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.)

Desired:

• Experience working in hybrid SE/ISSO roles

• Familiarity with cloud technologies and cloud migration initiatives

• Strong communication skills with experience interfacing with senior government or program stakeholders

• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 15288 processes and lifecycle management best practices.

Pay Range

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$131,800 - $290,000
