Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Falconer Program in Hampton, VA, supporting the Air Operations Center Weapons System. You will apply systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, and cyber-security discipline to deliver secure DoD solutions on this critical program.

Responsibilities include designing hybrid/cloud-native infrastructure, guiding cross-team efforts, and mentoring the integration team, while ensuring compliance with CC SRG and DoD standards in a demanding government

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT III (CompTIA Security+) certification required.
• Experience designing, provisioning, and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure GovCloud).
• Experience in core systems: AD, Group Policy, Exchange, MECM, SQL, HBSS/ePO, VMware.
• Strong systems engineering lifecycle, requirements definition and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering in core systems (AD, Exchange, MECM, SQL, HBSS/ePO, VMware).
• Design, deploy and manage hybrid cloud or cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
• Collaborate with government counterparts on roadmaps and ARE content.
• Provide senior-level support and mentoring for the integration team.
• Establish test and evaluation criteria for the testing team.
• Lead engineering projects from cradle to grave and track progress.
• Gather, report, and analyze data across product teams for status updates.
• Lead automation and scripting efforts, incl. IaC for cloud deployments.
• Direct integration and cyber teams to resolve STIG findings securely.
