Job summary

South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to provide advanced design, implementation, and support of the agency’s enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field with 5+ years of enterprise Windows server experience.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization (VMware or Hyper‑V).
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Intune.
• Security, patching, hardening, disaster recovery knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, configuration, installation, monitoring, and maintenance of server, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Exchange Online, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, DNS, DHCP, SQL, storage, and backups.
• Provide technical leadership for infrastructure modernization projects.
• Enforce security, patching, hardening, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and disaster recovery plans.
• Respond to incidents and participate in post-incident reviews.
