Job summary

This Senior Systems Engineer position focuses on electro-mechanical devices in a hands-on engineering environment in Tucson, AZ. The role requires deep experience across design principles, system architecture, testing, and reliability analyses, with collaboration across cross-functional teams.

You will lead test development, data analysis, and troubleshooting, with opportunities to support manufacturing processes and root-cause investigations in a regulated medical device context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, or Software preferred).
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in FDA or FAA regulated environments strongly preferred.
• Medical device industry experience is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate test methods (TMV), DoE, and perform advanced data analysis (Python preferred).
• Work with digital sensor outputs and analyze resulting datasets.
• Design and build test beds for system evaluation.
• Apply strong troubleshooting skills to resolve system and component issues.
• Create and execute comprehensive testing plans.
• Perform hands-on testing and document results.
• Author detailed technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Manage the defect lifecycle, including collection, documentation, and summarization for development partners.
