Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced engineer to work on a distributed systems platform spanning gRPC contracts, sandbox runtimes, and secure inter-service communication. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in systems programming, distributed systems, and building long-running services.
• Proficiency with async runtimes, OS-level integration, and debugging complex stack traces.
• Deep knowledge of distributed control planes, state divergence, reconciliation loops, and crash recovery paths.
• Experience with Container/Sandbox Internals, workloads, process lifecycle, and network namespaces.
• Familiarity with gRPC and Protobuf, including machine-to-machine APIs with streaming and version safety.
• Experience operating workloads on Kubernetes, including image management and debugging.
• Ability to secure inter-service communication using mTLS, gateway flows, and non-browser identity verification.
• Proficiency with structured logging, health checks, and distributed tracing for production observability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core platform components for a distributed sandbox and gateway.
• Harden network security features and policy enforcement across services.
• Develop routing, model provider adapters, credential management, and protocol translation.
• Build reliable configuration and control plane systems with state reconciliation and hot-reload support.
• Own operability by creating CLI tools, release automation, and observability instrumentation.
