Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Systems Engineer in Sterling, VA to collaborate with Sponsor and P&O teams to define SYSTEM requirements across physical, virtual, container, and cloud environments.

The role blends expertise in cloud platforms, automation, and multi-cloud environments, including Python, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes, to deploy and operate IaC on an IaaS cloud. Hybrid collaboration and agile practices are used to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms, Nutanix, Windows/Linux, automation, and containerization.
• Ability to deploy, operate, and maintain IaC services on an IaaS cloud.
• Experience with agile frameworks and multi-cloud provider technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage requirements for design, development, integration, test, and deployment of CUSTOMER systems across physical, virtual, container, and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with TL/OM/P&O Teams to design interfaces to data sources and external systems.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies; provide design, prototype, and test cycles.
• Facilitate meetings, analyze requirements, and produce documentation against Mission Partner requirements.
• Publish Blueprints, Playbooks, and Whitepapers on best practices and trends.
• Keep Sponsor and stakeholders informed with regular status updates.
• Apply analytic and problem-solving skills to manage priorities and backlogs.
• Help customer identify technology solutions to improve capabilities.
• Define constraints and develop requirements and OPs documentation with stakeholders.
• Review program docs and contribute to system architecture and deployment plans.
• Prepare technical documents including designs, deployment guides, and user manuals.
