Job summary

Atoms is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to own platform requirements and interface control documents for autonomous vehicle and truck platforms. You will decompose platform requirements, allocate subsystems, and develop verification plans across sensing, compute, networks, and power.

You will build interface control documents, manage traceability from requirements to verification, and work with cross-functional teams on integration and field feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field with 5+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Experience authoring system requirements and interface control documents for vehicle/platforms.
• Experience with requirements management tools (Jama/DOORS/Polarion) and writing verification plans.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain system and subsystem requirements for vehicle and truck platforms, including decomposition and traceability to verification.
• Create and manage interface control documents between autonomy kit and platforms, covering signals, networks, power, timing, mounting, and data.
• Develop verification plans with tests across analysis, bench, simulation, and on-vehicle testing, and verify against requirements.
• Identify and document deltas for new platform variants and keep common requirements aligned across platforms.
• Support integration, troubleshooting, and field feedback, classifying issues as defects and feeding changes back into requirements and interfaces.
