Job summary

Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to support NASA’s HLS program at Marshall Space Flight Center. You will provide engineering integration across Artemis mission elements, SLS, Orion, and xEVA, coordinating requirements and interfaces with Level 2/3 teams and Artemis programs.

Required are a Bachelor’s in engineering or science, 8+ years of related experience (or 5 years with a Master’s), and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science field.
• Minimum 8 years related experience or a master’s degree with 5 years of experience.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operations and hardware capability design definition, requirements development and verification planning.
• Interact with Level 2 and 3 teams to define, negotiate and document requirements and integration aspects.
• Collaborate with Artemis Programs for operations definition, data coordination and issue resolution; establish Ground Rules and Assumptions for integration.
• Coordinate analyses with loads and environmental teams for visiting vehicle interactions.
• Identify design options and lead functional architecting or analyses as needed.
• Assess proposed interactions for impacts from external design and updates.
• Prepare Interface Requirement Documents (IRD) and Interface Control Documents (ICD) for integration.
• Act as Change Package Engineer to review interface and related docs and participate in working groups.
• Facilitate cross-program data, hardware, and software exchanges.
