Job summary

AeroVironment, based in California, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to provide digital ecosystem, MBSE, and cloud-architecture expertise in support of the Missile Defense Agency CDO mission. You will lead API integrations, onboard external software and AI tools, and design secure data-exchange architectures while developing AI-ready data pipelines and enterprise dashboards.

Requires 12+ years in systems engineering, a Secret clearance, and proficiency with MBSE/SysML, cloud deployments, and

Qualifications

Master's degree in STEM.
12+ years in software integration or systems engineering.
Active or Interim Secret clearance.
Experience with API design and integration.
Working knowledge of MBSE and SysML.
Experience building enterprise dashboards.
Cloud environments and container technologies.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and accelerate delivery of operational capabilities.
Lead onboarding and integration of external software, models, and AI tools.
Design and implement secure API-based integrations and data exchange architectures.
Develop AI-ready data pipelines transforming structured and unstructured data.
Integrate LLMs and AI frameworks into enterprise environments.
Develop enterprise dashboards and common operational pictures.
Support MBSE activities using SysML and diagrams.
Develop common data models and integration standards.
