Job summary

CTN Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and support enterprise Windows infrastructure with active TS clearance. You will manage AD, PKI and GPO, while also supporting Linux systems and containerized workloads in hybrid environments.

Collaborate across teams on architecture, security, and ops improvements, lead root-cause analyses, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced, high-OPTEMPO setting near the DC area.

Qualifications

• 8+ years systems engineering experience in secure/cleared environments.
• Active TS clearance required.
• Professional certification required; Expert-level preferred.
• DoD 8140 compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Windows infrastructure (AD, GPO, PKI, etc.).
• Manage identity and access systems, certificate authorities, and PKI infrastructure.
• Depending on specializations: Linux systems, containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture, security, and operational improvements.
• Lead root cause analysis for system outages or performance issues.
• Mentor less-senior engineers and technicians.

What You'll Do

• Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Windows infrastructure (Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI, etc.).

Tech Knowledge / Skills

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Core On-prem technologies (Windows Server, AD, Exchange, PKI, Group Policy).
• Experience with Linux server management, scripting/automation.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) in hybrid environments.
• Security, networking, monitoring, and backup/DR integration relevant to enterprise infrastructure.
