Precise Systems is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support the Production Integrated Product Team (IPT) within PMA-264. The successful candidate will provide systems engineering expertise and technical oversight in support of production, integration, verification, and delivery of complex naval aviation systems and associated capabilities. The Senior Systems Engineer will work closely with government program leadership, engineering teams, production stakeholders, prime contractors, and other support organizations to ensure technical requirements are properly implemented and maintained throughout the production lifecycle. Responsibilities include assessing system performance, monitoring technical risks and issues, reviewing engineering and production documentation, supporting configuration management, and coordinating the resolution of technical deficiencies that may affect production readiness, system quality, or delivery schedules. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in systems engineering, defense acquisition, and production support, with the ability to translate complex engineering information into actionable recommendations for government leadership.

This is a remote work position; however, employees must be able and willing to travel and provide in-office or on-site support as required by customer requirements, project demands, or business needs.

  • Monitor technical risks, deficiencies, nonconformances, and production-related issues; coordinate corrective actions with government and contractor engineering teams.
  • Support configuration management activities, including evaluation of engineering changes, deviations, waivers, and Requests for Variance (RFVs).
  • Evaluate the technical impacts of proposed design changes on system performance, production processes, configuration baselines, and fleet readiness.
  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, quality assurance, test, configuration management, and production personnel to resolve cross-functional issues.
  • Support production reviews, technical interchange meetings, engineering working groups, readiness assessments, and program management reviews.
  • Review contractor technical documentation and deliverables for accuracy, completeness, traceability, and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Assist in tracking production milestones, technical deliverables, action items, and issue-resolution timelines to support program execution.
  • Assess the impact of manufacturing and production constraints, component obsolescence, supply chain challenges, and technical deficiencies on program cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Support system verification and validation activities to ensure production configurations satisfy approved requirements.
  • Prepare technical assessments, status reports, briefings, and recommendations for PMA-264 leadership.
  • Apply systems engineering principles across the system lifecycle to support technical baseline integrity, product quality, and successful transition to operational use.
  • Perform additional engineering and program support tasks as directed by government leadership.
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Required Experience:
  • Significant professional experience in systems engineering supporting DoD, Department of the Navy, or other federal acquisition programs.
